Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

SetupGear ZA aims to handle return and refund requests fairly and in accordance with applicable South African consumer-protection law. This policy does not remove or reduce statutory consumer rights.

Contact us before returning an item

Email setupgear.za@gmail.com or WhatsApp +27 74 211 2980 with your order number, item and variant, and a short explanation of the issue. For damage or defects, include clear photographs where possible. Wait for return instructions before sending an item so we can provide the correct details.

Online order cooling-off rights

Some electronic transactions are covered by a statutory cooling-off right. Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 applies, a customer may cancel within the applicable seven-day period after receiving goods, subject to legal exceptions. The direct cost of returning goods may be payable by the customer where the law permits. Refunds will be handled within the time required by applicable law.

Faulty, damaged, incorrect or incomplete items

If an item arrives damaged, is incorrect or appears faulty, contact us promptly with your order details and evidence where available. We will assess the issue and explain the next steps. Repair, replacement, refund and return-cost outcomes depend on the circumstances and applicable law. Please do not dispose of a disputed item or send it back without contacting us first.

Refund processing

Where a refund is approved or required, it will generally be made to the original payment method where possible. Processing and bank or payment-provider posting times can vary. We will communicate if additional information is needed.

Order cancellations and unavailable items

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation may depend on whether the order has been processed or dispatched and on the rights available under applicable law. If we cannot supply an item after accepting an order, we will contact you and handle the order in accordance with applicable law, including an appropriate refund where required.
